A prisoner who absconded from an open jail has been traced by police.
Anthony McGinley, 33, had failed to return to HMP Castle Huntly, near Dundee, following a period of home leave.
Officers, who launched an appeal for information on his whereabouts on Wednesday, have confirmed he is now back in custody.
A force statement said: "Police Scotland can confirm that absconder Andrew McGinley, missing from HMP Castle Huntly, has been traced in the Paisley area and is in custody.
"We would like to thank the public for their vigilance and assistance."
