Eighteen men have been arrested following the Scottish League Cup semi-final between Rangers and Celtic.

Police Scotland said all of the arrests were made in or around Hampden Park in Glasgow, where the Old Firm match took place.

A 27-year-old man was arrested and detained in connection with an alleged sectarian breach of the peace outside the ground, while a 17-year-old was arrested and detained for allegedly having a pyrotechnic device.

Reports will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and the pair are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

A further 16 men, aged between 17 and 68, were arrested for minor public order offences.

Separately, an 11 year old boy was taken to hospital for stitches to his head, after being hit by a bottle on his way to the match.
