14-year-old charged after teenager suffers slash wounds

A 14-year-old boy has been charged after another teenager suffered slash wounds in an incident in Greenock.
Police were called to the scene in Cumberland Road in the town at around 1pm on Thursday following a report that a 16-year-old had allegedly been assaulted.
He was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital where he was treated for injuries to his hand.
Police said a 14-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He has been released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
