Easyjet say they could create up to 100 new jobs at Edinburgh Airport.
The low-cost airline say they are planning to station 2 more aircraft in the capital, with destinations to be decided in October.
Hugh Aitken, head of easyJet in Scotland, said: ``The arrival of the two new aircraft from December will deliver over 180,000 new seats. ``We are asking key partners to work with us to determine which new destinations to launch and look forward to working with Edinburgh airport and others over the coming month to finalise our plans.''
The airline currently serves 24 destinations from Edinburgh and has carried 2.5 million passengers in the past year.
