Woman Dies In A19 Crash

A woman has died after a crash on the A19 near Sunderland.

78 year old Vera Mould, who was from the Town End Farm area of Sunderland died as a result of the injuries she sustained in the crash which happened on Friday January the 6th.

Three cars were involved in the collision on the slip of the A19 from the junction with the A1231 just before 7:30pm.

Police and paramedics attended the scene and the 78-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

She was a passenger in one of the cars and died as a result of her injuries on Sunday (8th of January).

Motor patrols officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time of the collision and who may have witnessed anything to contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191
