The Superbowl takes place in America later - and an American Football team from County Durham's throwing a party to celebrate!
The DC Presidents, based in Chester-Le-Street, currently play in the BAFA National Leagues in the Northern section.
They have over 65 players and 8 qualified Coaches.
Players come from all over the North East and the team has also linked in with the growing popularity of the sport at University level.
They have recruited new players from all five local University teams in the North East; The Teesside Cougars, Newcastle Raiders, Sunderland Spartans, Northumbria Mustangs and Durham Saints.
Mick Tyler from the club has told Capital the sport is hugely popular in the region:
"There's a healthy interest in participation in the North East, with all 5 local universities playing, as well as ourselves and the Gateshead Senators who play in the national league of Great Britain.
People like to see it on the TV and then have a try!
People say it's a contact sport, it's not. It's a collision sport and I think that's the interest to most people!"
The DC Presidents are holding a special Superbowl party at AMF Bowling in Washington tonight.
There'll be TV's showing the Superbowl with food and drink available and people are invited down from 8pm onwards, with the game starting at around 10:30pm UK time.
