A teenage boy has been rescued after getting stuck on rocks at South Promenade South Shields.
Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service were called out to South Promenade South Shields shortly before 9am on Monday to reports a teenager had become stuck.
He wasn’t injured but was stranded 30ft up on a ledge. Rescuers used rope equipment to abseil down the cliff face to reach him. The teenager was then put into a harness and lowered to the ground.
