A week after he went missing, police searching for 19-year-old Newcastle Uni student Jason Fyles are retracing his movements before he disappeared.

Last Wednesday (May 15th) Jason had a night out with friends in the city centre before making his way to Helmsley Road in Sandyford where he was last seen at 2.45am on Thursday, May 16th.

Superintendent Andy McDyer's told Capital:
"We know that Jason had been out socialising with friends on the night he went missing.

Officers were out last night, talking to people in the city centre bars and asking them if they remember seeing Jason last week, or think they may have seen him since.

We need to piece together a picture of Jason's movements on the night he went missing and officers will be handing out leaflets with his picture on.

Since Jason's gone missing his bank hasn't been touched and none of his electronic media's been used.

As time gets further and further on, I get more and more concerned as to what's happened to Jason.

I would urge anyone who was out that night to think back and ask themselves whether they may have seen Jason, if they have any information I am asking them to speak to officers tonight or contact us as soon as they can on 101 ext 69191."

Jason Fyles, 19, is a student at Newcastle University. Jason he is 5ft 9ins tall, of very slim build with a pale complexion and short ginger hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, grey jumper, beige chino trousers and brown leather shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191.
