A 12-year-old girl has been robbed and sexually assaulted while walking home from school in Stockton.
The girl was near Chadwick Walk, Hardwick, when a hooded man with a scar above his eye grabbed her bag and sexually assaulted her around 4:20pm on Tuesday afternoon (23rd October).
Cleveland Police said the girl was left "terrified" by her ordeal.
Detective Sergeant Chris Barker, of Stockton CID, said:
"This was a terrifying experience for a young girl and it is very much a rare occurrence.
We ask the local community of Hardwick to be vigilant."
Her attacker was in his 30s, had a large earring in one ear and was wearing a baseball cap and black, hooded top.
