Police Involved In High Speed Car Chase

Cleveland Police have been involved in a high speed car chase on Teesside.
At 12:25am on Wednesday 14th March, Officers from Cleveland Police were involved in the chase with a black VW Golf.
The chase stretched from the A19 into residential Yarm.
The vehicle's said to have reached speeds of 100 mph while performing dangerous manoeuvres to avoid being caught by officers.
During the chase, a bag containing a large quantity of suspected heroin was thrown from the car and recovered by police.
The pursuit ended when the car was abandoned in West End Gardens in Yarm and two men, aged 25 and 26 were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and dangerous driving.
