Police say they've got new leads after a reconstruction of a rape that took place in Whitely Bay last October was shown on TV .
Northumbria Police say following the tv programme they've had more than 40 calls with new information.
The rape took place at 3.45am on Sunday, October 16th 2011, in the rear lane of Esplanade Place, behind Zync Bar.
Detective Inspector Paul Race from the force's Rape Investigation Team, said:
"We have had a good response so far.
We have received more than 40 calls which we are being followed up by detectives working on the investigation.
We're continuing to appeal for anyone with information about the attack to contact the force's Rape Investigation Team on the 101-non emergency number or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
