North East Road Closures Tuesday 22nd November

Flooding is causing some problems on the roads and trains in the North East this morning.

Here are all the major road closures:

• The A66 both ways between Marton Road Interchange and Longlands Road in Middlesbrough. 
• The A186 Fossway in Walker is also closed in both directions.
• A68 closed in both directions at Colwell due to a fallen tree
•  A173 Guisborough Road closed at Newton Road
• A186 closed at Rutland Avenue
• The A1 is closed northbound at Newton on the Moor 

There are problems on the trains as well. We understand there are currently no services running between Newcastle and Berwick.

On the Tyne and Wear Metro it's closed between Benton and Shiremoor.
