North East Birthday Honours List

35 people from across the North East have been honoured in the 2014 Queen's Birthday Honours List.

A referee from Bishop Auckland and a headteacher from Newcastle are among 35 people from the North East to be recognised on the Queen's Birthday Honours List.

Patrick Partridge, who refereed at the 1978 World Cup Finals in Argentina, has been given a British Empire Medal for services to football.
