Newborn Baby Found On Doorstep In Horden

A newborn baby's been found abandoned on the doorstep of a house in County Durham this morning.

The baby boy was discovered by a pet dog in the Horden area just before 5am.

He was wrapped in 2 dressing gowns and gently crying when the dog came across him after being let out of his house.

He was left with a note saying "please look after my baby".

The boy's been named Jack by hospital staff, he's said to be doing well.
