A new phone app's being launched for people heading to any of the huge events in Sunderland this month.
The Sunderland Live app will allow users to check in at the events, like the Rihanna and North East Live concerts, and share photos and messages.
It will also link up with other social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, promoting the event on a wider scale and allowing those who can't make it to get a flavour of what is going on.
The app is based on the Spontly app, which is a sharing app for live occasions and is co-founded by Sunderland resident Helen James.
The Sunderland Live app will mean that people can instantly share everything that is happening at an event online. They can then relive the event again and again as it will create a live stream of visual content on the Sunderland Live website and in the new app.
Produced by Sunderland Live and Spontly, the app will be released in June for Apple and Android devices and further information will be available HERE
