Plans for a new 4,000 capacity gig venue on land near the Stadium of Light in Sunderland have been approved.
It's hoped the new venue will rival Newcastle's O2 Academy.
The plans will see it built in the proposed Beacon of Light sports centre (Pictured) on a floating floor and it will be double the size of the venue in Newcastle.
It'll be in a 12,500 square metre sports hall above a purpose-built 3G pitch.
The planning application was approved by councillors at a planning meeting on Tuesday (28th January)
