Man Tasered After Biting Police Officer

A Police officer's been bitten outside a pub in Yarm.

It happened just after 02:00am on Wednesday (18th April) near the Cross Keys pub on Yarm High Street.

The 33 year old male officer, was bitten on the head and arm and also hurt his neck.

A 22-year-old man was Tasered and arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, affray and criminal damage.
