Man Denies Murdering County Durham Gran

The boyfriend of Pamela Jackson from Chetser-Le-Street, whose body was found in a shallow grave has denied murdering her.

The 55 year old grandmother disappeared from her home in March.

Her partner, 50 year old Adrian Muir,from Calder Terrace, Halifax, West Yorkshire, was charged with her murder before her body was found.

Officers discovered Ms Jackson's remains buried on Rishworth Moor, near the M62 motorway, last month.

Muir appeared at Newcastle Crown Court via video-link to plead not guilty to the charge.

His trial will be held on August 29th.
