Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Newcastle city centre.
It happened between 1am and 1.15am on Sunday, October 9 at Dean Street when the 23-year-old man was assaulted by other men during an argument in what is believed to have been an unprovoked incident.
The victim suffered facial injuries including a fractured right cheek, bruising, a laceration and injury to his nose after being punched several times.
The first offender is described as white, about 6ft tall of medium build, aged in his early 20s, with short dark hair. He was wearing a blue round-neck t-shirt and blue jeans.
The second offender is white, around 6ft tall or chubby build, aged in his early 20s with pale skin and light brown shaved hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt with writing on the front.
DS Andy Percival said: "We're making enquiries to trace the men responsible for this assault, which left the victim with serious injuries to his face. Any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact us as soon as possible."
