Some major roadworks are being delayed next week just in case a strike by RMT Union members working for Network Rail puts too much pressure on the roads.
Dozens of planned roadworks in England are going to be suspended for two extra days, just in case next week's rail strike puts too much pressure on the roads.
Some Network Rail staff which run the tracks and the signals, are planning to walk out from Monday night.
North East Roadworks Suspended Over Bank Holiday
* A1 Morpeth to Alnwick (near Alnwick) - Construction Works - 2.7miles of roadworks lifted for Spring Bank Holiday.
* A1 River Coquet to Denton Burn Interchange (near Newcastle Upon Tyne) - Road Lining Renewal - 3miles of roadworks lifted for Spring
* A174/A19 (near Middlesbrough) - Road widening - 2.25miles of roadworks lifted for Spring Bank Holiday.
