Jessie J's announced she'll be performing at Durham County Cricket Club on Saturday July 20th
'The Voice' and pop superstar Jessie J who has sold over 12 million records worldwide will be headlining the Saturday night slot at the 15,000 capacity ground.
Her single, 'Domino', was the most played song in the UK last year and was the first female artist to score six top ten hits from one album.
Jessie, who started her career as a songwriter writing lyrics for the likes of Chris Brown and Miley Cyrus before penning her triple platinum album; 'Who you are', is currently in the studio recording her eagerly awaited second album as well as being a mentor on 'The Voice'.
Friday 19th July promises a great party with 5ive, Blue, and Atomic Kitten continuing their recent huge success of the ITV2 Big Reunion. ?
Durham County Cricket Club Chief Executive, David Harker, said:
"Securing these great acts is fantastic news for the cricket ground as it builds on its growing reputation as a prestigious open air concert venue.
It's not unusual for us to attract superstars from the world of sport but we are incredibly excited to welcome these artists to Emirates Durham ICG.
Our Summer Nights Live Programme will really put us on the map as an iconic venue for fantastic entertainment
Tickets go on sale Friday 3rd May and we are expecting demand to be very high from the offset so we really would encourage fans to buy their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment."
Tickets for the concert start at just £25.00 for the Friday night and £32.00 for Saturday and are available from Friday 3rd May online via the Durham County Cricket Club website or in person at the Box Office at The Emirates Durham International Cricket Ground.
