65 year old Janis Hall from Catton, near Hexham, hasn't been seen since before Christmas.
She was reported missing from her home address at 10.42pm on Thursday, December 19th, exactly one month ago.
She had last spoken to a relative on the phone at around 2pm that afternoon.
Her disappearance is out of character and police are increasingly concerned for her welfare.
Extensive enquiries and searches have been carried out every day since her disappearance and officers have also spoken to local people who know Mrs Hall or have had contact with her in recent weeks.
A public meeting was held in Catton recently to provide updates to local residents about the investigation and appeal directly to local people for any information which may help find Mrs Hall.
She is described as being 5ft 4ins tall of medium build, with grey short hair, and wearing glasses.
She was last seen believed to be wearing a green fleece coat, black trousers and a Russian fur hat.
Superintendent Mick Paterson, Northumberland Area Command, said:
"I want to thank those who attended the public meeting in Catton this week in relation to the disappearance of Janis Hall.
The meeting allowed us to gather information and reassure local residents about the heightened police activity in the area.
The meeting was really well attended and the information we received may just give us the lead we need to help find Janis. I want to assure the local community that we are doing all we can to find her.
Officers are also continuing to carry out enquiries in the area and wider afield to try and establish her last known movements.
I would continue to urge anyone with any information at all - no matter how small or irrelevant they may believe it is - to contact the police, it may just be the key information we need to find Mrs Hall."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference 1124 19/12/13.
