If you're going to be on the roads across the North East this Sunday, make sure you plan your journey, as the Great North Run means road closures.
Here's all you need to know about getting around by car between Newcastle and South Shields on Sunday 11th September.

ROAD CLOSURES
Newcastle / Gateshead
A167 Central Motorway - will be closed from 8pm on Saturday, September 10 to 5pm on Sunday, September 11.
It will be closed from the Cowgate Roundabout to the Great North Road (B1318) Interchange.
A167 Central Motorway including Tyne Bridge - will be closed from 8:45am to 5pm on Sunday, September 11.
The road will be closed from the B1318 Great North Road Interchange to A184 Park Lane.
A184 Park Lane - will be closed from 9am to 5pm on Sunday, September 11.
It will be closed from the A184 Felling By-Pass to White Mare Pool Interchange (Leam Lane A194)
South Tyneside
A194 Leam Lane - will be closed from 9:45am to 4pm between the White Mare Pool Interchange to John Reid Road Roundabout (A1300).
A1300 John Reid Road - will be closed from 9:45am to 4pm.
It will be closed to Prince Edward Road (A1300) to Redwell Lane / Coast Road (A183) Roundabout.
A183 Redwell Lane / Coast Road Roundabout - will be closed from 9am to 5pm to the Coast Road (A183) Roundabout with Sea Road and Mowbray Road.
Bents Park Road, South Shields - will be closed 2:45pm to 5pm.
ROADWORKS
Roadworks are ongoing at the Lindisfarne and John Reid roundabouts - however two lanes will be open at all times on Saturday and Sunday.
PARKING
There are thousands of free and paid-for parking spaces in and around South Shields town centre and seafront area for those wanting to park at the finish line.
The Leas, which is the finish point for the event, and Dragon football fields offer fully-stewarded parking, which will cost £10.
Town centre pay and display car parks are £1 all day and Foreshore pay and display car parks will remain £3 all day. There are also more than 300 free parking spaces in the town centre and Foreshore areas.
