Sunderland's Captain Lee Cattermole's in court to face 5 criminal damage charges.
Cattermole's charged with causing more than £4,000 worth of damage to parked cars near the home of his club's arch-rivals, Newcastle United.
He appeared on the same charges a fortnight ago but no pleas were entered as the prosecution requested an adjournment.
The 23 year old from Aislaby, near Yarm, Teesside, was accused alongside Sunderland's Danish striking star Nicklas Bendtner, but the case against the on-loan Arsenal man was dropped.
The charges relate to five cars which were allegedly damaged on the 6th of December last year in Stowell Street, close to Newcastle United's St James' Park.
