The family of a Newcastle woman who fell to her death from a hotel balcony in Spain has said she was "an outgoing and friendly girl who will be greatly missed''.
21 year old Danielle Hall fell from the ninth floor of the Bermudas Apartment Hotel in Benidorm while on holiday with her boyfriend.
After the incident in the early hours of Sunday, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said it was providing support to the family and were in touch with local authorities.
Releasing a statement through Northumbria Police, the family said that knowing how loved she had been gave them comfort.
They said:
"Danielle tragically died while on holiday with her boyfriend and his family. Danielle was an outgoing and friendly girl who will be greatly missed by all her family and friends,'' they said.
"She loved children and animals, especially horses and dogs; she enjoyed helping on the family farm, especially at lambing time.
"She was a much-loved daughter and sister and a fantastic auntie to her five-month-old niece. She has left us with some fantastic memories which we will treasure forever.
"We would like to thank everybody for their support and for sharing their memories with us. It brings us comfort to know how loved she was.
"We ask that you respect our privacy at this time while we try to come to terms with our loss and await the results of the police investigation.''
