Family Appeal To Missing Newcastle Student

The family of missing 19 year old Jason Fyles from Gosforth, who was last seen on Thursday morning, have appealed for him to get in touch.

Jason, from Bowsden Court, was last seen at an address on Helmsley Road, Sandyford, Newcastle, at 2.45am on Thursday May 16th.

He is a student at Newcastle University and is originally from Southport in Merseyside.

Jason's family, parents Ian and Caroline and Jason's brother Shaun and sister Kimberley have asked:
"Jason, please get in touch.

We love you very much and all we want is to hear your voice and know that you're safe.

Please call us or call the police so that we know that you are alright. ?Whatever it is that is troubling you, whatever has happened to upset you - please give us a chance to help you sort it out.

We would also ask Jason's friends, or anyone who has seen him or has any information that could possibly help to find him, to get in touch with police."

Jason was reported missing on Friday afternoon, May 17th.

He is described as being 5ft 9ins tall, of very slim build with a pale complexion and short ginger hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, grey jumper, beige chino trousers and ankle length brown leather shoes.

Superintendent Andy McDyer, Newcastle Area Command, said:
"We are becoming increasingly concerned about Jason's welfare because of the length of time he has been missing.

We are continuing to carry out extensive enquiries to trace his whereabouts, but we also need the public's help.

We are appealing for anyone who thinks they may have seen Jason since last Thursday to contact us."

Anyone with any information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191.
