A driver's died after the car they were in left the road and hit a tree near Bradbury.
It happened on Gipsy Lane between the A689 at Bradbury and Ferryhill Station just hafted 2:30am on Sunday morning (March 18th)
The Rover 25 that crashed also had a passenger inside - he's being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
The driver's been identified as 21 year old Dean Ryder who's from Jasmine Crescent in Trimdon Station.
Durham Police are appealing for anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.
