Consett Teen Represents GB In Bobsleigh

19 year old Mica McNeill from Consett's been named as part of the Great Britain Bobsleigh team competing in the World Championships in St Moritz.
This will be her first World Championship's and follows on from a fantastic 2012 where she won Silver in the Youth Winter Olympics and also saw success in the America?s Cup picking up two Silver Medals and 1 Gold and going on to achieve Bronze at the Junior World Championships.
The outcome of the World Championships and this rising star's finishing position will shape the second half of the Season and also more importantly her ambition to compete at the Winter Olympics in Sochi next year.
After finishing her final training session Mica said,
"Training has been very tough with only having 6 training runs going into the competition but I'm definitely going into the next 2 days focused and feeling prepared.
A year ago I won Silver at the Winter Youth Olympic Games, now I go on to compete in my first World Championships at 19. I can't ask for more!"
