Cleveland Police Hunt Missing Sex Offender

Police on Teesside are looking for a sex offender with a history of violence who's wanted after he failed to check in with police.

41 year old Geoffrey Mark Ball, has been jailed twice after being convicted of sexual assault and grievous bodily harm.

He was last seen in a Redcar pub about a week ago.

The public are being warned not to approach him.

Ball is described as 5ft 10ins tall, of proportionate build with short black hair.

A Cleveland Police Spokesperson's said:
"He was convicted of an indecent assault of a female over 16 in 1989 and received six months in custody.

He was then jailed for five weeks in 2010 for sexual assault on an adult female and placed on the Sex Offenders Register until 2017 for this offence.

Members of the public are being warned not to approach him as he also has convictions for violence, including a conviction for GBH in 2006, for which he received four years in custody.

He is known to be a regular user of social media sites and seeks to make contact with people on these sites.

He is also previously known to frequent betting shops and pubs in the Redcar area, and anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately on 999."
