A man and a woman have been rescued after their car was trapped in rising waters on Holy Island Causeway in Northumberland.
The Humber Coastguard was called about 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon, 2 hours after the safe crossing time.
The couple were found cold and wet on a refuge box and brought safely ashore. The woman had a heart condition.
Back in August, a meeting was held to try and stop so may people being stranded on the causeway.
Seahouses Lifeboat Operations Manager Ian Clayton said: "The problem continues, despite all of the media coverage.
I am saddened by the continuation of these incidents, and my greatest fear is that one day, we may have a fatality."
