Bus Crash Driver Sentenced

A bus driver from Stockton will be sentenced after crashing the bus he was driving into a bridge in Darlington.

51 year old Trevor Wilson of Wellington Walk, was charged with dangerous driving.

He changed his plea to guilty after previously denying the charge. 

12 students were injured when he crashed his bus into a railway bridge on Neasham Road in Darlington, tearing off the vehicle's roof.

The double decker bus was taking around 50 students to the Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College when it crashed.
