Woman Falls From Wigan Bridge

The M6 is closed in Wigan after a woman was seen falling from a bridge.
Police were called to junction 26 just after 10 o'clock this morning where they found the woman on the southbound carriageway.
She was taken to hospital with serious injuries and police are still investigating what happened.
Both north and southbound carriageways have been closed between junction 25 and 26 and diversions
are in place.
