CCTV has been released after a man was bottled in the face in Manchester.
It happened at 11.50pm on Friday 22 March 2013, as the the 23 year old victim was walking along Oxford Road towards the Spar shop when a man barged into him and verbally abused him.
The victim challenged him and was hit across the head with a bottle causing cuts to the side of the head.
The offender walked off but was stopped by the victim and other members of the public before the 23-year-old left and caught a taxi home.
Detective Constable Tom Munnery based at Bootle Street Police Station said: “As you can see from the footage, this is an unprovoked and violent assault on a young man that left him with cuts to the side of the head.
"The images are very clear and I believe someone will know who this person is. He is described as being white, 6ft tall, of skinny build, in his mid 20s, had brown hair, dark stubble and had a pale complexion with signs that he previously had acne.
"If you recognise the images, description or you were one of the people who witnessed the incident, I would ask you to contact police."
