Two Arrests Over Stockport Fire Death
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a decapitated man was found following a fire in Stockport.
Police were called to Wellington Street in Stockport at 5.10am today (Thursday) where Firefighters had put out a blaze on a grass verge. They had discovered a man's decapitated body.
Detective Superintendent Vincent Petrykowski from Greater Manchester Police's serious crime division said:
"The investigation is in its early stages and we are trying to determine the circumstances surrounding his death"
"Obviously local residents will be concerned about the incident but I can reassure them that we have numerous police officers in the area and we are working very hard to find out what has happened.
