Third Man Charged After Sale Assault

Shortly after 2.40am on New Years Day, police were called to Framingham Road in Sale, following reports a man had been assaulted.

A 27-year-old man was found with serious head injuries.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and remains in a serious condition.

It is believed one of his friends had been involved in a fight outside Taste Buds takeaway on School Road shortly before.

26-year-old Mohammed Arfan of Homestead Crescent in Burnage is charged with Section 18 Assault (causing grievous bodily harm with intent).

24-year-old Stuart David Ryan of Princess Street in Broadheath, is charged with Section 18 Assault (causing grievous bodily harm with intent).

26-year-old Imran Qasar of Homestead Crescent in Burnage, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
