Swinton Man Charged With Rape
A man has been charged after a 19 year old woman was attacked and sexually assaulted in Salford.
Shortly after 2am on Sunday 11 December 2011, officers were on patrol in the Folly Lane area of Swinton, when they found a 19-year-old woman in a distressed state and suffering from facial injuries. The woman had been attacked and sexually assaulted.
20 year old Scott Larkin from the Swinton area has been charged with rape, attempt rape and assault. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Salford Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 13 December 2011.
A 22-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with this incident has been bailed pending further inquiries.
