A Manchester prisoner who escaped through the sky light of a prison van in Lancashire is arrested by Police.
John Paul Williams was arrested by Greater Manchester Police last night after spending a week on the run.
Williams was one of four prisoners being transported from Garth Prison to different prisons in Merseyside when three of them escaped through the skylight. Two of them were caught, but Williams managed to evade capture.
Before his arrest he was last seen in east Manchester travelling on a bus from Manchester to Stockport.
He was arrested on Tuesday night and is now in Police custody.
