Police have released images of men wanted in connection with an attempted robbery in Salford. It happened at a bookies in Walkden on Monday.
Police have released images of men wanted in connection with an attempted robbery in Salford.
At around 8.40pm on Monday 28 November 2011, five men wearing balaclavas ran into the William Hill bookmakers on Walkden Road, Walkden.
A member of staff who was behind the counter ran into the back office and locked the door, making a colleague aware of what was happening.
One man threw an iron grid cover at a nearby games machine, causing it to smash before they left empty handed.
No one was hurt.
One man is described as being white, 5ft 9in tall and had a small build. He wore a grey hooded top, blue tracksuit pants and a balaclava.
The second was white, 5ft 9in tall and of slim build. He wore grey tracksuit pants, bright orange gloves and a dark balaclava.
The third man was white, of slim build and was dressed all in black.
Another man wore a black adidas tracksuit with three yellow stripes down the arms and legs, black gloves and black balaclava.
The fifth man wore dark clothing, a balaclava and appeared to be carrying a piece of wood.
Detective Constable Brian Johnston from Salford CID said: "Both members of staff were terrified but fortunately no one was hurt and nothing was stolen.
"I would ask members of the public to take a good look at the images and if they recognise anyone of these men, to contact police as soon as possible."
