Pensioner dies after Trafford crash

A man has died following a collision in Trafford.
The victim, a man in his 70s, was driving a blue Toyota Aygo when it collided with a red Ford Transit close to the junction of Davyhulme Road and Pleasant Drive, Davyhulme shortly after 4pm on Saturday 24 November 2018.
While being treated in an ambulance, the man fell ill and was taken to hospital.
Sadly, he died in hospital yesterday, Tuesday 27 November 2018.
The Ford Transit driver sustained no injuries in the collision.
Police are continuing to appeal for information.
Police Constable Phil Shaw of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This is a very sad incident and our thoughts are with the man’s family at this very difficult moment.
“We’re attempting to build a clearer picture of the circumstances leading up to this collision so we can give the man’s family the answers they deserve.
“If you saw the collision, the vehicles prior to the incident, or have dashcam footage, please get in touch.”
