Olympic Gold medallist, Sir Chris Hoy, will carry the Olympic Torch through Manchester on Day 36 of the relay around the UK.
The 36 year old from Edinburgh Tweeted "V. excited to have been selected as an Olympic Torchbearer by Lloyds TSB. I'll be in Manchester June 23. Hope to see you there!" when he found out the news.
The four-time Olympic track champion will carry the Flame in the city that he trained in for the 2008 Olympic Games.
Hoy will carry the Olympic Torch along Deansgate ahead of the Evening Celebration in Albert Square.
The celebration starts at 5pm, with the Torch expected to arrive at 18:49.
The Torch has already been carried through Warrington, Bolton and Wigan in the first of two visits to Greater Manchester earlier this month but is back on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th June when it'll head through Rochdale, Bury, Manchester, Salford, Trafford, Stockport, Oldham and Tameside.
