A Bolton man was run over with his own car in a vicious robbery in Oldham.
It happened outside the 62 year old man’s home on Medlock Road, Woodhouses in Oldham last Friday.
The man was pulling out his driveway when two men jumped out of a small red hatchback car parked outside his house.
They dragged him out of his car, repeatedly punched him and hit him with whats thought to be a shiny black metal object, they then demanded he hand over his keys, which he did.
The two men then got back into their car, revved the engine and mounted the pavements knocking the victim over before driving off at speed down Medlock Road.
The offender’s red car, a stolen Seat Altea with the registration number SC05 LHU, was later found abandoned on Peakdale Road in Droylsden.
Detective Constable Mike Hayman, of Oldham CID, said: “In the space of just a few minutes this man suffered a savage beating and was then deliberately run over by the offenders, leaving him with a broken leg and numerous cuts, not to mention the emotional stress he has endured.
“The facts speak for themselves, and the people who committed this atrocious and senseless act of violence need to be caught and brought to justice for what they have done.
