Oldham Man Jailed For Murdering Sister-in-law.

An Oldham man has been jailed for at least 22 years after pleading guilty to murdering his sister in law.

31 year old Foyez Ahmed from Matthew Close in Oldham killed 38 year old Razu Khanum at her home back in June.

He stabbed her in the throat before walking next door and telling neighbours what he had done.

He then phoned the police and told them too.

Ahmed had been at the house that morning to see Razu and he stabbed her while her children and his daughter were upstairs.

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Reade said: 

"Only Ahmed knows why he carried out this horrific killing, taking away a wife from his brother and the mother of three children."

"They will be scarred by the devastating events of that day, and our thoughts remain with all family members."
