A man from Greater Manchester, described as a 'devious conman' after cheating more than £60 000 out of his rich secret lover, has been found guilty of murdering her.
54-year-old Diana Lee was bludgeoned to death at her home in the village of Cranage, near Holmes Chapel, last August.
Her lover, 48-year-old David Ryan, spent the money he stole from Ms Lee on IVF treatment for his wife, along with other expensive items.
Chester Crown Court heard that Ryan was bankrupt and had racked up #90,000 debts.
He denied murder but was found guilty at Chester Crown Court and will be sentenced on Friday.
