A post mortem has revealed a man who's body was found in a Manchester canal drowned.
The 41 year old's body was discovered in the water off Canal Street in the early hours on Saturday 9th June.
A post-mortem has confirmed he drowned and had no suspicious injuries.
It is believed the man intended to go to the Gay Village area of Manchester to have a drink on Monday 4 June 2012 and was last seen that evening in the Blackfriars area.
Police are appealing for witnesses
