Man Run Over In Manchester City Centre

A man been arrested after another man was run over in Manchester City Centre.
Just after 1am on Sunday, police were called to Great Ducie Street in Manchester, following reports of an injured man lying on the road.
Officers believe a small red hatchback driving down Great Ducie Street, near to the Manchester arena in the direction of the City Centre, drove over a man who was lying in the road, it carried on and turned right onto Trinity Way.
Police found that a 29-year-old man had suffered serious head injuries. He has been taken to hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable.
A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and remains in police custody for questioning.
