The Capital Late Show with Sonny Jay 10pm - 1am
A man's been locked up for seven years for killing a teenage boy he had chased into a fishing pond in Wigan.
17-year-old Dylan Aaron was pushed into Deep Pit pond in Hindley during a fight with Drew McGrail last May. The 27-year-old was found guilty of manslaughter and one count of criminal damage at Liverpool Crown Court.
Senior Investigating Officer Vinny Chadwick of Greater Manchester Police's Major Incident Team said: "Dylan's death was easily avoidable had he been simply allowed to get out of the water.
"McGrail prevented him from getting out and this led to Dylan's early and tragic death leaving his family without the son and brother they loved.
"There were others at the scene who admirably tried to help Dylan but unfortunately were unable to do so."
