Police are searching for a young mum's ex boyfriend after she was found dead.
A post mortem examination found Linzi Ashton died as a result of pressure to the neck and multiple injuries.
She was found at her home on Westbourne Road, Winton by relatives shortly before 6pm on Saturday 29 June 2013.
As part of the investigation her ex-partner, Michael Cope, aged 28, is being sought in connection with her murder.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw Linzi with Michael Cope together on the evening before she was found murdered at her home in Salford.
Chief Superintendent Kevin Mulligan, said:
"Linzi was beaten to death in a brutal and sustained attack and we are continuing to focus our efforts on locating Michael Cope.
"We believe he is a dangerous and unstable individual and should not be approached.
"I am appealing for anyone who knows where he is hiding to do the right thing and call police.
"We have also established that Linzi and Michael were out together on Friday night and in the early hours of Saturday morning.
"If you were out and saw them together at any point Friday night or Saturday it is vitally important you call the police."
In a statement, Linzi's family said: "Linzi was a much-loved daughter, sister, aunt and mum to two beautiful children, Destiny and Daisy.
"She was the most beautiful, generous, caring person anyone could ever wish to meet. She would never harm anyone and was always there for her children and family. She loved treating her girls to princess sleepovers, dressing up and baking for them. When she walked into a room it would light up with her energy and love.
"Life will never be the same again without her. Our all family and friends have been devastated by her death. The whole community is in shock."
