A man has died after being hit by a train at East Didsbury railway station in south Manchester.
The man, thought to be aged in his 50s, was struck just before 2pm.
He was found on the track with injuries to his legs and face.
The man was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital, he died in the ambulance.
He was hit by the 1.55pm First Transpennine Express service from Manchester Airport to Cleethorpes, which does not stop at East Didsbury.
