Man Critical After Falling From Car In Oldham
A man remains in a critical condition after falling out of a moving car in Oldham.
At about 8pm on Thursday 22 September 2011, police were called to Stamford Road, at its junction with Dunham Street, following reports of an injured man lying on the road.
Officers believe a green Ford Mondeo had been travelling north along Stamford Road when the rear offside passenger door was opened and a man fell onto the road striking his head. The car then drove off.
Officers found that a 32-year-old man had suffered serious head injuries. He has been taken to hospital where his condition remains critical.
Two women, aged 30 and 41 were arrested on suspicion of assault and have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Detective Inspector Dave Massey, of Oldham CID, said: "At this stage we do not have the full background of what led up to this incident, so we really want to hear from anyone with information.
"A man has been left fighting for his life so it vital that we speak to anyone with knowledge about this incident."
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call the Road Policing Unit at Chadderton on 0161 856 8473 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
