A man is in a serious condition after he was found with stab wounds in Bolton town centre.
At about 12.40am on Wednesday 13 July, police were called to Crown Street, following reports of a stabbing.
Officers attended and found that a 34-year-old man suffered stab wounds to his chest, neck and both of his legs. His condition is described as being serious but stable.
A 30-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and remains in police custody.
Detective Inspector Gary Smith said: "We are in the early stages of this inquiry, and are still trying to establish where the stabbing took place. The victim is in a poorly condition but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
"We would urge any witnesses to call us."
